I actually liked him as the Prince but again, it's kind of the same character type as Nate and Desmond so no surprise there. (Also, I adore Elika's voice actress.) I've only played the original game (the now-ancient one) so when I got the 2008 game, I was kind of a blank slate. Did you play the previous Prince of Persia games?
Yes! I love that scene and it was just a whim that had me jump in, only to end up giggling as a result. All of those silly little comments are what make the game so awesome.
